Graham Poll will take charge of his first FA Cup final when he referees the clash between Aston Villa and Chelsea at Wembley on May 20. The Tring official is having a year to remember as he will also be England's sole representative at the Euro 2000 finals in Belgium and Holland this summer.
It is a far cry from when the 36-year-old started out on his refereeing career in the North Hertfordshire League in 1980, but he has gradually worked his way to the top of the tree and will be officiating at the Twin Towers for the third time.
He took charge of the 1997 FA Vase final between North Ferriby and Whitby Town and 12 months later was in the middle for the 1998 Charity Shield between Arsenal and Manchester United.
