The Turkish ace striker Hakan Suker scored after 12 minutes to put Galatasary ahead in their semi-final, first leg, clash with Leeds Utd, and Brazilian Capone doubled that just before half-time. Leeds were never really in the hunt as the cauldron like pressure built up from the very start of the game. They now have all to do in the second leg in Elland Rd in two weeks time. Meanwhile Arsenal kicked off against the French side, Lens, at 8pm, and their Dutch star Denis Bergkamp grabbed them a vital goal after just two minutes. They now go to Lens with a slender one goal advantage in a fortnight's time.
