A good performance was enough to see Chelsea pass Dutch side Feyenoord, who were, in truth, awful. Leading at half-time through a glorious strike from Zola, Chelsea seemed to sit back and let the home side back into the game, and they duly equalised with a lucky goal from Kalou after 59 minutes. However it was the London side who again quickly reasserted themselves through a header from Wise, and a fine strike from Flo, whose penalty award Frank Leboeuf missed in the first half.
