Southampton's Matt Le Tissier has stunned the English Premiership club by hinting he may go on loan to secure first team action. The former England midfielder, who has spent his entire career at the Dell, has been left on the substitutes' bench for Southampton's last two matches.
He scored in a reserve team match in midweek and was widely reported as saying he lacked inspiration and was considering going on loan.
Le Tissier, capped eight times for England, has scored 160 goals in 423 league games for Saints since making his debut in August 1986 as an 18-year-old.
Elsewhere, Derby County manager Jim Smith is interested in bringing Celtic's Scottish international Craig Burley to Pride Park.
