Soccer: Eircom League Update

Shelbourne drew 1 – 1 with Shamrock Rovers today. The draw at Morton Stadium means that Shelbourne go top of the Eircom Premier Division table, one point ahead of Cork City, who will have a chance to regain the lead when they travel to the Brandywell tomorrow. Bohemians, who are also in action tomorrow are in third place on 20 points, the same total as Shamrock Rovers.

An injury time goal from Shane Harte earned Saint Pat's a 2 - 1 win over Galway United at Terryland Park last night. Galway finished with only nine men after Billy Cleary and Kieran Foley were sent off late in the game.

Elsewhere, UCD were 1-0 winners over Drogheda United at United Park.

In the first division Saint Francis beat Limerick 2-1 last night and there are three games this evening - Kilkenny against Bray, Longford versus Dundalk and Cobh Ramblers play Home Farm Fingal.
