Ronnie O'Sullivan won the inaugural Snooker 900 Global Championship after making five centuries en route to beating Luca Brecel 10-5 in Sunday's final.
Seven-time world champion O'Sullivan clinched the last three frames of the afternoon session in Reading to take a 6-3 lead into the evening.
The 50-year-old won the next two frames to stretch his advantage before 2023 world champion Brecel hit back to reduce his deficit to 8-5.
O'Sullivan hit his fifth and final century to regain the momentum before wrapping up another tournament victory after last week winning the World Seniors Snooker Championship.
Snooker 900 involves playing frames to a 15-minute (900 seconds) time limit, a 20-second shot clock, and a ball-in-hand rule when a foul is conceded.
"I just love this format," O'Sullivan told Pluto TV.
"I think if you asked 128 players, I reckon 70% of them would say we would rather play under this format, because we've played a lot of snooker today but we're not sitting here until one o'clock in the morning.
We're not playing sessions thinking 'what time will we get something to eat?'.
"Jason (Francis, creator of Snooker 900) has come up with an amazing format and I just think he's hit the sweet spot with snooker really."
