Mark Allen ran out a comfortable 5-1 winner over Jack Lisowski at the World Open in China to secure a last-16 place against home hope Zhou Yuelong.
A break of 122 got Allen off to the perfect start in Yushan, with the world number 15 extending his advantage with a knock of 57 in the second frame.
Lisowski, who had scored just two points at that stage, went on to take the third frame with a break of 84.
However, Allen ultimately cantered to victory, adding a break of 52 in the sixth frame to set up a meeting with Zhou.
Ronnie O'Sullivan recorded a whitewash victory, with Matthew Selt his hapless victim.
Shaun Murphy and Kyren Wilson progressed on 5-1 scorelines against Xu Si and Allan Taylor, while Luca Brecel's lengthy spell in the doldrums showed no signs of abating as Latvian teen Artemijs Zizins inflicted a 5-1 defeat on the 2023 world champion.
Tournament favourite Judd Trump won the last four frames, in which he racked up breaks of 118, 101, 55 and 55, to see off Jackson Page 5-2.
