Barry Hawkins saw off a spirited comeback from Jack Lisowski to take the Welsh Open title in Llandudno.
Hawkins, a runner-up in 2018, landed the Ray Reardon Trophy and a winner's cheque worth £100,000 as he overcame his fellow left-hander 9-5.
Hawkins had come close to withdrawing from the event due to back trouble but walked away with a first ranking victory in over two years, kicking off with a 105 break and threatening to steamroller the final after easing into a 7-1 lead in a one-sided afternoon session.
Lisowski, who upset John Higgins in the semi-final, resumed with three straight frames and back-to-back centuries but had too much ground to claw back as Hawkins finished things off in the 14th.
