Jack Lisowski will face Barry Hawkins in the final of the Welsh Open after staging a superb comeback to beat five-time winner John Higgins in Llandudno.
Higgins looked well on top when he punished a mistake from Lisowski, who snookered himself in the fourth frame, to go 3-1 up. But Lisowski responded with some superb snooker, taking the next three frames with breaks of 95, 79 and then 138 to go 4-3 up.
Higgins kept fighting, pulling it back to 4-4 and 5-5, but Lisowski was playing with confidence as he took the deciding 11th to advance.
Earlier, Barry Hawkins held off Wu Yize to reach his 13th ranking final with a 6-4 win.
Wu had come back from 4-1 down to level the match at 4-4, but a missed black in the ninth frame cost him the chance to go ahead, and Hawkins did not afford him another opportunity.
