World number one Judd Trump coasted past veteran Mark Williams 4-0 to book his place in the semi-finals of the Riyadh Season Snooker Championship.

Trump produced a confident display, reeling off his 29th century of the season in the third frame and finishing with another stylish 102 to wrap up victory in just under 50 minutes as Williams managed only 20 points overall.

Earlier, Neil Robertson also closed out an impressive 4-0 win over Kyren Wilson, scoring centuries in each of the opening two frames and then made 88 in the third – having narrowly run out of position on the black after a sixth red as he eyed a potential 167 golden ball super-maximum.

The Australian goes on to play last year's winner Mark Allen, who saw off John Higgins 4-2.

In Thursday’s late match, world champion Zhao Xintong battled past Shaun Murphy, who had whitewashed Ronnie O’Sullivan in the last round.

After Murphy had made a 101 clearance in the fourth frame to level the match, breaks of 73 and 88 secured Zhao a 4-2 win, which sees him through to a semi-final against Trump.
