John Higgins reached the International Championship final with convincing 9-2 victory over Stephen Maguire in China.

Higgins raced into a 6-0 lead against fellow Scot Maguire, recording century breaks of 101 and 137 along the way.

Maguire clawed back two frames before the end of the session but Higgins won all three frames after the resumption.

The 50-year-old will face 22-year-old Wu Yize in Sunday's final who beat World champion Zhao Xintong 9-6.

Wu followed up his impressive last-16 win over world number one Judd Trump to move a step closer to a first ranking title.

There had been little between the Chinese pair, who were locked at 4-4 heading into the evening session, with Wu having earlier made a 140 break in the fourth frame.

Wu then took four consecutive frames, helped by runs of 108 and 71, before Zhao hit back with two half-century breaks to reduce the deficit at 8-6.

A break of 65 in the 15th from Wu saw him secure a place in Sunday's final.
