Aaron Hill has matched the best result of his professional career after beating Jack Lisowski 4-1 to reach the quarter-finals of the English Open.
In a sometimes scrappy contest, Hill raced into a 3-0 lead before the world number 28 hit back to keep his hopes alive.
But Cork man Hill kept his best until last as he knocked in a 123 break in the fifth frame to emphatically put the match to bed, and claim a second career win over the Englishman.
He awaits the winner of the clash between Ricky Walden and Zak Jones, which has gone to a deciding frame.
The potential for an all-Ireland semi-final at the tournament is still there, after Mark Allen came back from the dead to see off Ding Junhui 4-3.
Ding was three up before Allen's feet had even hit the floor at the Brentwood Centre, with the Chinese player knocking in a break of 91 in the second frame.
But Antrim man Allen, with his back to the wall, found some composure to reel off the four frames he needed to make it through, where he'll meet something of a surprise package.

That's because world number one Judd Trump earlier became the latest big name to exit the tournament after slipping to a 4-3 defeat by Elliot Slessor.
Slessor, ranked 23rd in the world, opened up a 2-0 lead in their fifth-round match in Thursday's afternoon session at the Brentwood Centre, helped by a break of 67.
Trump – who is yet to reach a semi-final this season – then responded with a run of 69 to take the third frame on the black, which started his fightback as another half-century clearance levelled the match before he then also took the fifth frame to lead 3-2.
Slessor, though, made a break of 79 to force a decider, which he claimed after making 64 to book a quarter-final spot.
China’s Zhou Yuelong also made it into the last eight after breaks of 84 and 71 helped him see off Barry Hawkins 4-2.
