Neil Robertson held off a remarkable fightback by Ronnie O'Sullivan to win the Saudi Arabia Masters title in a last-frame decider.

Former world champion Robertson looked set for a comfortable evening session in Jeddah after taking a dominant 6-2 lead, helped by early breaks of 76, 108 and 81.

However, O’Sullivan – who had hit two maximum breaks in his semi-final victory over Chris Wakelin – regrouped with a 139 clearance to take the 10th frame before then reeling off breaks of 97, 89, 57 and 80 to haul himself back on level terms.

Although Robertson picked up the 15th with a run of 75, two more half-centuries took O’Sullivan to within one frame of victory.

Robertson dug in again to respond with a 101 break and force a decider, which he won on the back of another terrific clearance of 87 to claim the title – and with it a £500,000 (€579,000) prize.
