Reanne Evans lost five successive frames as Poland's Antoni Kowalski completed a 10-4 World Championship qualifying victory in Sheffield.
Evans, the 12-time women’s world champion, won the final stanza before the break to trail by a single frame at the English Institute of Sport.
However, Kowaklski surged ahead after the interval and the 21-year-old’s third break of 63 sealed Evans’ fate.
