Mark Selby will face John Higgins in the Tour Championship final on Sunday after a ruthless 10-2 rout of Ding Junhui in Manchester.
Selby took control of the semi-final in the afternoon, leading 6-2, and then made light work of finishing the job with breaks of 104, 54 and 58 in an utterly one-sided evening session that was over before the interval.
Ding had opened what proved to be the final frame with a break of 70, but he then offered Selby a chance that would not be passed up.
Selby looked in charge throughout, leading 3-1 after breaks of 83, 71, and 103 in the afternoon session, with Ding taking the third frame with a break of 77.
Things might have been even worse for Ding early on given he trailed 49-0 in the seventh frame before capitalising on a missed black from Selby.
Selby will now face fellow four-time world champion Higgins – who saw off Barry Hawkins 10-7 on Friday – for the £150,000 prize on Sunday.
