Judd Trump will face Kyren Wilson in the Players Championship final after seeing off John Higgins 6-4 in Telford.
Two-time champion Trump posted a break of 130 as he took the opening frame and subsequently moved 3-1 ahead with a 126.
Higgins replied with a century of his own (107), and after Trump claimed the next frame to go two in front again, the Scot - who won this tournament in 2021 - fought back to draw level at 4-4.
But the world number one subsequently took control again in frames nine and 10 to seal victory and set up a showdown with reigning world champion Wilson on Sunday.
Wilson, currently number two in the world, advanced to the final with a 6-5 victory over Neil Robertson on Friday.
