Judd Trump crashed out of the Scottish Open in Edinburgh, losing 4-2 to Zhang Anda.

The Chinese player hit breaks of 114, 82, 81 and 71 to make it through to the last 32 in Edinburgh and send Trump packing.

World champion Luca Brecel, who won the event in 2021, enjoyed safe passage with a 4-3 win over James Cahill, firing a sublime 133 clearance in the final-frame decider.

John Higgins cruised through on home soil, beating He Guoqiang 4-1, while Liam Graham, who received a bye into the last 64 after Ronnie O'Sullivan's withdrawal, progressed further by beating Ben Mertens 4-2.

Mark Selby beat Matthew Stevens 4-3 in a late-night finish, taking the deciding frame with a 64 - his third break in the 60s to go with a 115 in frame two.

Earlier, Cork's Aaron Hill had secured a 4-1 victory over Jack Lisowski to move into the next round.
