Allen to play Brown in all-Irish pairing in UK Championship draw

Mark Allen will play his fellow Northern Irishman Jordan Brown in the first round of the UK Championship.

Allen was paired with his close friend Brown who came through qualifying today.

It will be their first meeting on the tour.

Jimmy White, who made history yesterday by qualifying for the tournament at the age of 60, has been handed a favourable draw against 16th seed Ryan Day.

That game will take place this Saturday on the opening night of the tournament

Seven-times winner Ronnie O'Sullivan will face another former winner in Matthew Stevens.

Last year's winner Zhao Xintong will take on Sam Cragie or Ian Burns with the last set of qualifying matches tonight.
