Mark Allen also made it through to the next stage of the BetVictor Snooker Shoot Out in Leicester following a break of 51 against Ashley Carty.

Jimmy White, 59, was knocked out after losing to Sanderson Lam, while Barry Hawkins survived a scare against amateur Ryan Davies to book his place in the second round.
