Ken Doherty and Kyren Wilson advanced to the next phase of the Championship League in Milton Keynes.
Wilson, the beaten finalist at this year's World Championship, claimed 3-0 wins over fellow Englishmen Mark King and David Gilbert either side of a 2-2 draw against Scott Donaldson to top Group E of the round-robin tournament.
Doherty, the 1997 world champion, drew against Thailand's Thepchaiya Un-Nooh and Antrim's Jordan Brown.
The Dubliner beat Xiao Guodong and only progressed by virtue of the highest break after finishing level on points and frames won with Un-Nooh.
Wilson and Doherty join former world champions Mark Selby and Judd Trump and Chinese pair Zhao Xintong and Zhou Yuelong in the third stage which, alongside the final, will be played on Friday.
