Mark Selby qualified for the third stage of the Championship League in Milton Keynes.
The three-time world champion finished top of Group D of the round-robin tournament after he drew 2-2 with Graeme Dott following earlier wins over Rory McLeod and Jamie O'Neill.
Breaks of 128 and 69 got the job done for Selby, who told World Snooker’s official website: "I feel like I played well all day. This format, every group is tough. Playing four frames you can lose to anyone, and on Friday everyone will be a great player."
Zhou Yuelong will join Selby in the next round after ousting Shaun Murphy in a Group B decider.
Yuelong had defeated Matthew Selt and Dominic Dale, who he scored three centuries against, and then drew 2-2 with Murphy to progress.
Judd Trump and Zhao Xintong booked their place in the next round on Monday.
