Judd Trump powered his way into the third round of the European Masters with a 5-1 demolition of Lukas Kleckers.
Trump rattled in a 132 clearance in the second frame at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes as he raced into a 4-0 lead over the former German amateur champion, and although Kleckers reduced the deficit by taking the fifth, the respite proved temporary.
He told World Snooker Tour: "It was important to get off to a good lead. He's quite a slow player, so it can be frustrating at times if you’re sat there watching. I just wanted to get it over and done with as soon as possible.
"I feel like I’m playing well and hopefully I can show that for the rest of the tournament."
Asked about playing without spectators because of coronavirus restrictions, the Englishman added: "It’s not something that I enjoy and not something that I want to last for much longer, really.
"It’s tough on all the players, especially some that have failed a test with no symptoms. I find it a little bit strange, what’s going on, and the sooner we can get back to normal, the better."
Trump will face compatriot Michael Holt in the next round after he beat Jamie Jones 5-2.
They will be joined in third round action by Belgium’s Luca Brecel, who demolished Ali Carter 5-1, and China’s Yan Bingtao after his 5-3 victory over Ryan Day.
England’s Joe O’Connor and Allan Taylor will also be there after wins over Scott Donaldson and Ben Woollaston respectively, while Welshman Jamie Clark booked his place by seeing off Matthew Selt 5-4 and Martin O’Donnell beat David Grace in a last-frame decider.
