Judd Trump had seized the early initiative in the opening session of the World Championship final at the Crucible but John Higgins has fought back.
Trump took the first two frames against four-time winner John Higgins before the Scot responded with a stunning 139 in the third frame.
But Trump struck back immediately with a century of his own to move into a 3-1 lead at the mid-session interval.
Higgins then won three on the spin before the English man levelled up at 4 apiece.
