Mark Allen stopped the Yan Bingtao juggernaut to reach the final of the International Championship.

The 17-year-old sensation has crushed Ronnie O'Sullivan and John Higgins - with nine world titles between them - this week, but Allen proved to be a bridge too far in a 9-2 victory.

World No 11 Allen cracked in two centuries and cleared breaks of 50 on eight occasions against his overwhelmed opponent.

Next up is a final date with world champion Mark Selby.

Allen, 31, has three ranking tournament titles to his name, while Selby has 12.

"Mark Selby is an unbelievable player, but he is just a player," Antrim man Allen told World Snooker's official website.

"If I play my game it doesn't matter what he does. He can play as well as he wants, but it is up to me to control my emotions and play my game. I believe that if I play my best then I will win.

"It's going to be two players going ding dong the whole way through and may the best man win."
