Liang Wenbo completed the first 147 of the new season of the 2017/2018 snooker season on the way to a 4-3 victory in his second round English Open match this afternoon.
Wenbo needed a brilliant positional shot on the pink and let out a big roar ahead of bagging the €44,000 bonus for the maximum break.
It levelled the match at 3-3 and he went on to claiming the deciding frame
Elsewhere Northern Ireland’s Mark Allen was beaten 4-2 by Stuart Carrington.
