Ronnie O'Sullivan will play Jimmy White in the third round of the Scottish Open after both were convincing winners in Glasgow on Wednesday.
White, 54, continued his encouraging recent form with a 4-0 victory over Ryan Day, while O'Sullivan defeated Polish amateur Adam Stefanow 4-1.
It will be their second meeting in quick succession, with O'Sullivan winning 4-1 in Northern Ireland last month.
White will go into the clash on a run of 13 consecutive frames won, and he said on worldsnooker.com: "It was a good result. I'm excited about playing Ronnie and I'll enjoy it and embrace it. I hope I put up a good show."
O'Sullivan is being hampered by a damaged cue tip.
He said: "Usually a new tip would take a while to get used to. I'll take it down as much as I can and hopefully it will be okay tomorrow. I'm cueing okay. I missed a few balls but I've been doing that all season.
"It will be tough against Jimmy. When we played in Ireland it wasn't the best of matches but Jimmy is playing better now so I'm looking forward to it."
