Home hope Ding Junhui marched into the final of the International Championship in China following a comfortable 9-4 victory over Judd Trump.
Ding, bidding for more success in China after claiming the Shangai Masters title last month, stormed into a 6-0 lead in the afternoon session against Trump and, although the Englishman fought back to make it 7-4, the 29-year-old saw out the final two frames to move into Sunday's final.
Mark Selby or Stuart Bingham will provide the competition for Ding in that contest.
"I will just keep trying to play my snooker whoever I play, I will try to take my chances," Ding said in quotes published on worldsnooker.com. "I'm just happy to be in the final. I love to win any event I can in China."
