Martin Gould and Luca Brecel will meet in the final of the German Masters, each seeking a first ranking title.

Gould had breaks of 87 and 53 in a 6-2 win over Scotland's Graeme Dott, who failed to recapture the form that earned him a 5-1 win over compatriot Stephen Maguire in the last eight.

Gould has lost his two previous finals at ranking events and said: "It feels great to be into another final. The first ranking title could lead to many more and I feel that I'm good enough. I've just got to get past that final step and hopefully lift the trophy."

Brecel, the 20-year-old Belgian, overcame another hotly-tipped youngster in Kyren Wilson in a low-quality second semi-final to reach his maiden ranking final.

He admitted on Eurosport 2: "Me and Kyren didn't perform well, we had about 700 chances each! I'm just happy to win."
