World champion Graeme Dott revealed he could take a break from snooker due to personal reasons following his early exit from this year's SAGA Insurance Masters.
The 2006 Crucible king would not elaborate on why he was so upset after his 6-2 last 16 defeat to Stephen Lee at the Wembley Arena.
But the Larkhall potter said: 'To be honest I couldn't care less. What's happened is much more important than snooker.
'It's (what's happened) massive and, obviously if it doesn't get cleared up, I don't know what I'll be doing.
'I'll have to wait and see what happens, but there's chance I could take a break from the game.
'If I wasn't the world champion I wouldn't have played the match. I had a phone call last night which gave me the decision to go home or to stay?
'As I've said, if I'd not have been world champion then I wouldn't have played the match.
'It was impossible to concentrate. I thought if I played I might feel okay, but obviously I didn't.'
Dott was clearly out of sorts against Lee, last season's Welsh Open winner who progressed to the quarter-finals.
'I think he played pretty well, but he had an unbelievable run of the balls as well which helps,' added Dott.
'He's beat me 5-4 on the black one year, beat me 6-5 here (at the Masters) last year and here as well.
'Every match has been the same. To beat a class player like Stephen is hard anyway, but to beat somebody that's carrying that amount of luck is just about impossible.'
Lee had a large slick of luck to lead 2-0, but Dott dug deep and levelled at 2-2 for the mid-session interval, the highlight of his play being breaks of 51 and 91.
But Lee pocketed a 94 break for a 3-2 lead and then won a scrappy sixth frame to regain his two-frame advantage.
However, Lee knocked in an 84 break and then a century in the final frame to go through to the last eight.
