Swail left ruing missed opportunities

Northern Ireland's Joe Swail was left ruing missed opportunities after his second round exit from the Embassy World Championship. He went down 13-11 to Nottingham player Anthony Hamilton who also played some nervy shots as their match entered its decisive period.

A simple attempted roll up to the pack of reds which he left well short was particularly noteworthy but, despite having put his opponent in in prime position, Hamilton was able to take that frame, his 12th.

Determination won Hamilton the next, in which Swail also had a chance, and passage to the third round.

Frame scores (Hamilton first): 36-83, 0-127, 43-78, 64-1, 72-26, 0-98, 0-74, 76-13, 15-74, 59-48, 0-83, 68-43, 79-0, 14-65, 61-53, 58-40, 85-0, 34-73, 64-18, 44-66, 57-42, 0-69, 86-30, 86-36
