Higgins into Regal Masters final

Defending champion John Higgins has secured his place in tomorrow's Regal Masters final after beating England's Stephen Lee 6-4 in the last four of the competition. The former world champion will now meet Ronnie O'Sullivan after the Englishman prevented the first-ever all Scottish Regal Masters final by defeating Stephen Hendry 6-3.

O'Sullivan will now be hoping to equal Hendry's record of three Regal Masters wins while also avenging his 9-6 loss to Higgins in the 2001 final. Just like Higgins earlier in the day, O'Sullivan found himself pegged back at 3-3 before taking control.

"Stephen is the kind of player who can really turn it on so when he got back

to 3-3 I was really worried," said O'Sullivan. "I just had to stick in there and I saw it through all right in the end. I have not seen a lot of John play but he must be in good form. You cannot reach a final of a tournament like this without playing well."
