Defending champion Ronnie O'Sullivan has reached the second round of the Embassy World Championship at the Crucible in Sheffield after a 10-5 first round win over Scotland's Drew Henry. The world number two will now play either Ireland's Fergal O'Brien or Robert Milkins next Thursday.
Afterwards O'Sullivan said that while he was happy with his performance, his mind had been elsewhere during the match. "I was thinking about what I'll be doing after the championship. Half of me was on a beach somewhere. It's just the frame of mind I'm in at the moment - I'm too relaxed and not bothered about snooker.
"I've been like that for most of the season. For the first few months of this year I didn't practice at all - I just wanted to do other things in my life. But after the interval I realised that if I want to retain the title I'd have to play properly and so I switched it on and played like I wanted to win. In the end I was quite happy with my performance," said the 26-year-old.
In tonight's other match, Northern Ireland's Joe Swail built up a 5-4 first session lead over England's Joe Perry.
