Fergal O'Brien and Ronnie O'Sullivan have both failed in their bids to reach the last 16 at the Regal Scottish Open in Aberdeen. O'Brien lost his match 5-1 to England's Alister Carter while O'Sullivan went down 5-3 to little known Barry Hawkins. Also in action today was the Irish pairing of Joe Swail and Michael Judge and Judge came out on top by 5-3. Judge will now meet defending champion Peter Ebdon for a place in the quarter-finals.
