Donal Lenihan: Ireland upper hand up front will be the key against Scotland

Scotland are desperate to beat us at this stage. We've beaten them ten times in a row.

They have a quality back line in particular but if you look at it, not only have we won the Six Nations, we've beaten them in the last two World Cups in Yokohama and in Paris, so we definitely have the upper hand.

Their quality is behind the scrum, the back three of Blair Kinghorn, Duhan van der Merwe and Darcy Graham; Huw Jones got a hat-trick of tries last week and then you have Finn Russell at number 10. I think all of those will go on the Lions tour.

The issue they have there is Sione Tuipulotu, their captain, who also looks a certainty to tour with the Lions, he's out injured.

Stafford McDowall didn't really work there (in his place) - there's a suggestions Tom Jordan might come in and start there against Ireland.

But for me, it's up front, that's where Ireland will go after them. Again, if you were picking that Lions, there would be a debate at tighthead between Finlay Bealham and Zander Fagerson but other than that I think Scotland wouldn't get any forwards selected over their Irish counterparts.

I think that's going to be the key. We saw against England last time out, the real strength for Ireland was the quality on their bench.

They had five British & Irish Lions there on top of the names I mentioned. You're also looking at Robbie Henshaw and others so that's where Ireland's key strength is and I think they might just be that bit too strong up front. But I think it will be a hell of a game.
