Ireland began the defence of their Guinness Six Nations title with a 27-22 bonus-point win over England at Aviva Stadium.
The hosts trailed 10-5 at the break, with Jamison Gibson-Park scoring a superb try.
However, Simon Easterby's men surged in the second half and secured all five points thanks to tries from Bundee Aki, Tadhg Beirne and Dan Sheehan.
Here's how we rated the players.
15. Hugo Keenan – 7.5
Excellent under the high ball, Irish and English kicks. Passed well and managed an offload as well. Judged his kick-though and chase perfectly to pile pressure on the visitors at a crucial stage of the second half.
14. Mack Hansen – 7
Recovered from an early injury to play his part and tackled well when England threatened. No magic Mack moments but smart around the park. Eight carries and six tackles in total.
13. Garry Ringrose – 7
Played a big part in the midfield battle, pouncing on loose ball and making more than his share of tackles, 13 the most of the backs. Always available to take the ball on.
12. Bundee Aki – 7.5
Never really got free in midfield and fumbled once in the first half but England had to respect his runs and that kept them honest. He made over 26 metres but the highlight was undoubtedly his try as the centre beat three men from the 22, looking second favourite all along.
11. James Lowe – 8.5
Made a couple of poor kicks but was excellent otherwise, and had a direct hand in three tries. He fielded well and got a hand to a few up and unders to keep possession. Bashed his marker aside to set up Jamison Gibson-Park and was perfect in assisting Tadhg Beirne and Dan Sheehan.
10. Sam Prendergast – 7.5
A fine Six Nations debut for the 21-year-old. Even after missing two conversions, didn't shirk from the long-range penalty that put Ireland ahead. His long passes stretched the England defence. Mostly took the right kicking or passing option after the first 10 minutes.
9. Jamison Gibson-Park – 8.5
A busy afternoon for the scrum-half, who looks back to his best. Took his try incredibly well, taking the pass 40 metres out, leaving Freddie Steward for dead and racing in. Got his hands on the ball 71 times in total and named official player of the match.
1. Andrew Porter – 7
Solid at set-piece, took on plenty of ball in the loose, too, carrying nine times and beating a defender. Made 13 tackles and won a turnover, however, discipline an issue at times.
2. Rónan Kelleher – 8
Superb outing by the Leinster hooker, who must have been in the running for man of the match. Cleaned up a couple of loose balls and was there as Ireland won 12 of 12 lineouts. Made nine carries and over 30 metres for his 50 minutes.
3. Finlay Bealham – 7
Went off with what looked like a nasty ankle injury after 58 minutes and that will be closely monitored with Tadhg Furlong also on the sidelines. Didn’t miss any tackles and made four carries.
4. James Ryan –7.5
Enjoyed the physicality for his hour on the pitch. Noticeable that Ireland didn’t miss the injured Joe McCarthy in the exchanges. Got stuck in with nine tackles and claimed two lineout throws.
5. Tadhg Beirne – 8
Another trademark performance by the Munster man, busy on both sides of the ball and ran the perfect support line to grab Ireland’s third. Just not sneaky enough to get away with a hold on Maro Itoje for Kelleher’s disallowed try.
6. Ryan Baird – 7
Had a mixed bag in the loose, made a linebreak off one of six carries that led to a yellow card for the visitors. Appeared to let Ben Earl through in the first half. Was the busiest man in the Irish lineout, taking eight throws in total.
7. Josh van der Flier – 8
Brilliant game from the in-form flanker. Made a crucial tackle on Marcus Smith after Ringrose missed his big hit. Top-tackled with 18 and carried 11 times, throwing two offloads.
8. Caelan Doris – 7.5
All-action performance from the skipper, huge work-rate in defence and attack. Carried 11 times , also threw two offloads and made 14 tackles.
REPLACEMENTS
16. Dan Sheehan (for Kelleher 50) – 7.5
Didn’t put a foot wrong, had three involvements in the fourth try. Excellent international return after long injury lay-off.
17. Cian Healy (Porter 73)
Not on long enough to rate
18. Thomas Clarkson (Bealham 59) – 6
Good Six Nations debut after replacing the injured Bealham.
19. Iain Henderson (Ryan 62) – 6
Made five tackles after coming on.
20. Jack Conan (for Baird 50) – 7
Made the break that led to Sheehan’s try. Five carries and seven tackles in the final half hour.
21. Conor Murray (for Gibson-Park 74)
Not on long enough to rate.
22. Jack Crowley (for Prendergast 59) – 7
Was on when Ireland scored their last two tries, managed the end game well.
23. Robbie Henshaw (Hansen HIA 4-17, Aki 58) – 7
Made a crucial intervention when England threatened on the 22. Four carries and four tackles in his 36 minutes.
