Munster loosehead Jeremy Loughman has been called up to the Irish squad for the first time with Jordan Larmour ruled out for the remainder of the Guinness Six Nations.
Iain Henderson returns to the squad having completed 80 minutes for Ulster against Cardiff at the weekend.
Larmour is the latest Ireland international to be ruled out of the tournament after suffering a hip injury on Leinster duty at the weekend.
The 2018 Grand Slam winner has not been involved in Andy Farrell's match-day plans this spring or last autumn and will now be out for a "number of weeks".
The winger scored Leinster's third try in the 61-17 win over Benetton on Saturday but was forced off in the 63rd minute.
"Jordan has been very unlucky, even when he came off at the weekend, I thought it was precautionary when we made the change, even talking to Jordan afterwards," Leinster head coach Leo Cullen said ahead of Saturday evening’s URC meeting with Ulster in Belfast.
"He has a little bit of damage around his hip. The exact timeline? It’s hard to be accurate at the moment.
"Hopefully we’ll find out more over the days. We’ll see if it settles down this week and get him back as soon as we can.
"He’s definitely a loss for us, he’s been in really good form. He looked really sharp but we’ve lucky we’ve good guys there to step in and it’s an opportunity for someone else."
Leinster also announced that Andrew Porter had undergone a "procedure" and will be out for up to eight weeks.
The Ireland squad reassembled last night at Carton House.
Jack Carty, Dave Heffernan (Connacht), Craig Casey, Gavin Coombes (Munster) and Robert Baloucoune, James Hume and Nick Timoney (Ulster) all return to squad having featured for their respective provinces.
Ireland's game against England at Twickenham on Saturday kicks off at 4.45pm and will be live on RTÉ2.
