Ireland pair Johnny Sexton and James Ryan are still in contention for Sunday's Six Nations game with France.
The two Leinster players were replaced after getting "head knocks" during the 21-16 loss to Wales in Sunday.
Lock Ryan left the field in the 24th minute, while Sexton departed with just over ten minutes to play.
Out-half Sexton told reporters after the game: "I'm okay now, obviously got a bang on the head but I feel okay now, bit of a bump on the side of the temple. I should be okay, hopefully.
"I'll do all the return to play protocols, I'm well used to it at this stage, and hopefully I’ll be okay for training next week."
The IRFU said: "Johnny Sexton and James Ryan will go through the graduated return to play protocols this week."
And speaking to reporters at lunchtime, defence coach Simon Easterby said: "It's a six-stage protocol whereby each stage lasts about 24 hours and then at each stage if there are no symptoms resulting from the concussion they can progress to the next stage.
"At the moment, they are going through that and there are no setbacks so far.
"We’ll have more to say later in the week. They are currently going through the same stage of protocol to get back to return to play by the weekend.
"That’s exactly what we are planning [that they play on Sunday] but obviously if a stage is failed, they have to go back a day and that puts them under pressure.
"Our primary focus is their health and safety, first and foremost. If a player, which may well be the case this week, that they can’t complete the stage they are in then they have to drop back and stage and that compromises their availability
"We are aware of that and we have plans in place to potentially deal with that if it comes along."
Asked if Andy Farrell and the management team had considered calling in extra out-half cover, Easterby said: "No, not at this stage. Billy [Burns] and Ross [Byrne] have been with us over the last couple of weeks. We're really comfortable where they are at and what they can offer the team.
"Partly because we believe Johnny will get through those protocols and get back to playing."
Meanwhile, Leinster back row Jack Conan has been called up to the squad.
Ireland anticipate they will be without Peter O'Mahony for the game. The flanker was sent off in the game in Cardiff and faces a disciplinary hearing later today.
Leinster duo Ed Byrne and Ryan Baird remain with the squad, while Gavin Coombes has been released back to Munster.
