Ireland have been dealt a blow in their bid to win the Six Nations crown after Niamh Briggs was ruled out of the rest of the tournament due to injury.

A scan has shown that the 57-times capped full-back has a hamstring problem and will miss the final three games of the campaign.

Ireland head the table after last week’s bonus point win over Italy.

The games will be broadcast on RTÉ television.
