Five Connacht players finished Ireland's match against Italy last Saturday and Ultan Dillane believes more from the province could be capped soon.
Dillane, Robbie Henshaw, Kieran Marmion, Finlay Bealham and Nathan White were all on the pitch at the final whistle of the 58-15 6 Nations win.
He says this is a sign of the good work being done by the Pro12 League leaders and the second row believes there could be more to follow.
"It was pretty amazing," said the Kerry man, speaking to RTÉ Sport, about the moment the five Connacht players shared at the Aviva Stadium straight after the game.
"We didn’t really take it in at the time, but looking back it shows the work that Connacht have been doing all season. There are a lot of good players there and a lot more players deserve a chance."
Dillane made his senior debut in Ireland's defeat to England at Twickenham earlier in the campaign and won his second cap against the Italians.
He is in line for more game-time in the Six Nations closer against Scotland on Saturday.
"It’s never going to be perfect and I’m definitely finding out that there’s heaps to learn out there," he said.
"With a bit more game-time I’m learning that the game is so much tougher. It’s going to be the same this weekend – Italy were decimated by injuries so Scotland is going to be a lot tougher."
Dillane (above) continued: "The best thing is to try to fit in the system and then try to play well after that. Trying to make an impact off the bench is tough as well.
"Scotland will be a huge step up. They have some quality players and they were unlucky to miss out in the semi-finals in the world cup last year. They have been in flying form since and even in the Pro12 you can see it come through from there. We’re expecting a tough one this week."
