France locks Pascal Papé and Manon André will discover today what punishment they will face after being cited for incidents involving Irish players in last weekends men’s and women’s RBS 6 Nations actions.
The hearings will take place in London, along with that of Scotland’s Finn Russell, who was cited for a tackle on Welsh out-half Dan Biggar.
Papé was initially given a yellow card for kneeing Jamie Heaslip in the back during Ireland's 18-11 win over France.
The incident resulted in three of Heaslip’s vertebrae being fractured, which will rule the Leinster player out for four weeks, including Ireland's clash with England.
Papé now faces the possibility of missing France’s remaning Six Nations games, against Wales, Italy and England.
Papé tweeted Heaslip to apologise for having hurt him, and the Leinster player replied to say he accepted his apologies, and that he understood rugby was a physical game in which injuries could occur.
André was cited for making contact with the eye area of an Irish player in her side's 10-5 win in Ashbourne on Friday.
Sincèrement désolé d'avoir blessé @jamieheaslip sur cette action de jeu, pas du tout l'intention de lui faire mal. #objectivitépourcertains
