Italy coach Nick Mallett has made four changes to the side that lost against Ireland for Saturday's RBS 6 Nations clash with Scotland at Murrayfield.
The Azzurri welcome back Andrea Marcato and Marco Bortolami, both of whom missed the 38-9 defeat to the Irish in Rome through injury.
Marcato will replace full-back Andrea Masi, who is serving a three-week ban for a dangerous tackle on Ireland's Robert Kearney, while lock Bortolami comes in for the dropped Tommaso Reato.
Fabio Ongaro has been relegated to the bench as hooker Leonardo Ghiraldini returns to the line-up having missed the Italians' opening two defeats in England and against Ireland through injury.
Calvisano's Gonzalo Garcia has earned a starting spot with Kaine Robertson having been left out of the squad.
Overmach Cariparma utility back Giulio Rubini could have a chance to make his national team debut in Scotland from the bench.
