Robert Dickson and Sean Waddilove have finished in top 20 at the European 49er Championship in Lake Attersee, Austria.
The Irish crew from the Howth and Skerries clubs respectively were 18th among the 55 entries in the 49er category after day six's finale.
Germany's Tim Fischer and Fabian Graf took gold, while Austria's home representatives Benjamin Bildstein and David Hussl took silver, narrowly missing out on overall victory after running into issues while rounding next to an Irish vessel at the final bearaway of the regatta in the final race.
Croatian brothers Sime and Mihovil Fantela rounded out the podium in third.
Dickson and Waddilove had been 21st after day five on Saturday but did enough to climb the rankings.
Next best among the Irish contenders were Ryan Seaton and Seafra Guilfoyle who were 26th, while the third crew Sean Donnelly and Marcus O'Leary remained 48th.
