Annalise Murphy has finished seventh in the Laser Radial class at the World Cup Regatta in Miami.

The 2013 European champion finished second in the medal race but a disastrous 35th place on Thursday and 32nd on Saturday meant she had too much ground to make up on her rivals.

Denmark's Anne-Marie took gold, with Belgium's Evi van Acker second and Netherlands' Marit Bouwmeester third.

Olympian James Espey finished best of the Irish trio in the Laser class, finishing in 38th place, while young prospect Finn Lynch was 45th overall. Darragh O’Sullivan was 94th at the end of the week in Miami.

Ryan Seaton and Matt McGovern were placed 33rd after a mixed bag of results in the 49er class, including a win and a second, while Rio hopefuls Saskia Tidey and Andrea Brewster were 24th in the 49erFX class.

Erica Ruigrok finished 76th in Murphy's Laser Radial class
