Annalise Murphy remains second overall in the Laser Radial class after the opening three days’ sailing at the World Cup Regatta in Miami.
A 36th in her final race of the day was a blot on an an otherwise consistent day, in which she finished thrid in the day’s first race.
“I wasn't so hot with a 36th” Murphy tweeted after the day’s sailing, but others, too, struggled to deal with tough winds in the Biscayne Bay.
Denmark's Anne-Marie Rindom remains four points ahead of Murphy after finishing first and seventh on day three.
Meanwhile, Ireland’s Eric Ruigrok lies 75th, scoring 35th in race five in the 79–boat fleet.
In the men's Laser class, Murphy's national yacht club-mate and Rio prospect Finn Lynch, continues to hold a significant margin over his 2016 rivals, James Espey and Darragh O'Sullivan. Lynch, the U-19 World Champion, is ten points clear of London 2012 rep James Espey in 43rd place.
Ryan Seaton and Matt McGovern lie 35th of 58 in the 49er skiff and in the women's 49erfx, Dun Laoghaire trialists Andrea Brewster and Saskia Tidey are 18th from 40.
A 3rd in race one today keeps me in second overall! Race 2 I wasn't so hot with a 36th...2 more days to go @SailingWCMiami before medal race
