The chief executive of the Irish Sailing Association, Paddy Boyd, is to step down from the post next February.
Boyd, who has been at the helm for 16 years, will also give up his position as secretary general of the ISA in April of next year.
The sport has been rocked in recent months by a row over the management of the Olympic sailing team.
However, quoted in today's Irish Times, both Boyd and ISA president John Crebbin moved to separate the resignation from that row.
