Ahead of the Champions Cup final and a URC quarter-final, Leinster have been boosted by players nearing a return from injury as they target end-of-season silverware.

The 31-7 win over the Lions at the weekend guaranteed their spot in the last eight of the URC, while Saturday week against Bordeaux in Bilbao will see the province looking to end a wait of eight years in their quest to be champions of Europe again.

Before all that is the concluding game in the regulation phase of the URC, with the Ospreys visiting the Aviva Stadium on Saturday next.

Paddy McCarthy, who has been out with a foot injury since January, is back training and a decision on his availability will be made later in the week.

McCarthy, however, is not part of the Champions Cup squad, with Leinster deregistering him for that competition, allowing Alex Usanov to come in.

Usanov is also back training after an ankle complaint.

Jordan Larmour and Tommy O'Brien have both returned to training.

James Lowe, Tadhg Furlong, Jack Conan, Josh van der Flier, Robbie Henshaw and Jack Conan will all be monitored ahead of the Ospreys.

Brian Deeny is due to be further assessed after sustaining an injury against the Lions, as is Joshua Kenny who withdrew from the squad prior to last Saturday's game.
