Scott Bemand insists there is still "loads" more to come from Ireland as they look to cap off their best Six Nations since 2020.
Saturday's 33-12 win against Wales in Belfast saw Bemand’s side comfortably bounce back from their frustrating defeat to France a fortnight ago, as Aoife Wafer and Brittany Hogan both crossed for a brace of tries, with Beibhinn Parsons also getting on the scoresheet.
Hogan scored with the final play of both the first and second half, but it was the first of those scores that was the turning point of the game.
Leading 12-7 with the clock in the red, Ireland chose to keep playing when they won a midfield penalty rather than take their lead into the break, and it was a gamble that paid off as they drove over for a third try, extending their lead to 19-7.
"We want to be brave," the Ireland head coach said.
"The last couple of weeks, we've missed some kicks to the corner because we're trying to be brave with them. So we're getting better at being brave, getting better at executing being brave.
"It was a big moment, actually, wasn't it in terms of the second half and how that looked.
"You're going to come under times of pressure where teams get moments. And it was nice to be able to take a moment into half-time. Delighted with that."
Captain Erin King echoed her head coach, saying their third try changed the picture as they went in at half time, before they comfortably saw out a 21-point win.
"It really gave us that lift that we needed going into the half-time," King said.
"Fair play to Wales. They really brought that physicality in that first half. So to get that try was really important for us.
"I back the girls 100% and we know how good our set piece can be and what we're capable of."
While Ireland’s win was never really in doubt, Ireland didn't reach the heights that they did in Galway against Italy, with the stop-start nature of the game taking the sting out of both teams at times.
But with Ireland now preparing to turn towards their huge Aviva Stadium date with Scotland, their head coach is happy to bank a bonus-point win, and work on locking in third place next week with a third win.
"I think there's loads isn't there," he added, when asked what improvements could be made next Sunday.
""Probably we’re all left feeling it wasn't quite the performance that we're after. It's okay.
"You get games where the breakdown is messy, you can't get fast ball and you got to find a way. You got to find a way to deal with challenges that are maybe slightly unique or something you're not used to facing.
"We wanted to come out of this competition with three home wins. So we just scored a bonus point win at home, which is the second part of that, which leads us nicely into next week. It was really important to come back from France and get the result."
