Hugo Keenan is the latest frontline Ireland international to agree a new central contract, keeping him with Leinster until the summer of 2028.

Keenan, who turns 30-years-old next month, has signed a two-year extension with the IRFU.

The full-back missed the 2026 Guinness Six Nations due to a broken thumb, but has made 46 appearances for Ireland since his debut in October 2020, scoring 13 tries.

The Dublin native has won two Six Nations titles and three Triple Crowns for Ireland, while he has also represented his country at the Olympic Games in Sevens at Paris 2024.

Keenan was also a member of Andy Farrell's British and Irish Lions squad for the 2025 tour of Australia, starting all three Tests and scoring the series-clinching try against the Wallabies in the second Test at the MCG (below).

"Hugo is a top-class performer and I am really pleased that he is continuing his journey in Ireland," Farrell said.

"He has been a model of consistency since his debut in 2020 and I believe that the best is yet to come as he continues to set the highest standards on and off the field of play."

For Leinster, the full-back has had a frustrating season, with a hip surgery closely followed by a broken thumb which has seen him play just five games, although he has looked sharp since returning to action in late March, scoring three tries across those games.
