Just three players from Leinster's comfortable Champions Cup quarter-final victory over Sale Sharks have been retained for Friday's trip to Kingspan Ravenhill (kick-off 7.45pm) for the BKT URC clash with Ulster.

Leo Cullen has rung the changes, with only full-back Hugo Keenan, centre Garry Ringrose and lock James Ryan, who will captain the side, to start against the team one place above them in the table.

Jerry Cahir and Thomas Clarkson will scrum down either side of Rónan Kelleher in the front row, with Ryan partnered by Brian Deeny in the second row. Scott Penny, Alex Soroka and James Culhane complete the back row.

Sam Prendergast and Luke McGrath are the new half-back pairing, while Robbie Henshaw and Ringrose will offer serious pedigree in the centre.

Joshua Kenny and Jimmy O’Brien are on the wings, with Keenan again taking up residency at full-back.

Ed Byrne, who signed on a short-term loan from Cardiff earlier this week, is set to make his first appearance for Leinster in nearly two years after being named on the bench.

Ulster make one change to the side that defeated La Rochelle in their Challenge Cup quarter-final last week, with Sean Reffell (pictured below) replacing Nick Timoney in the backrow.

Iain Henderson captains the side, starting alongside Cormac Izuchukwu in the second row.

Angus Bell, hooker Tom Stewart and Tom O'Toole form the front row, with Reffell joined in the backrow by David McCann and Juarno Augustus at number eight.

Nathan Doak and Jack Murphy continue their half-back partnership, with Stuart McCloskey and James Hume forming a formidable midfield partnership.

In-form Zac Ward starts on the left wing, with Werner Kok on the right and Jacob Stockdale patrolling the backfield at full-back.
