Stuart McCloskey has been included on a four-man shortlist for the 2026 Guinness Six Nations Player of the Championship.

The Ulster centre was Ireland's standout player across their Triple Crown campaign, with he and captain Caelan Doris the only two to have played every minute of Ireland's five games.

While the 33-year-old didn't score a try in the championship, he did make six try assists, with multiple eye-catching offloads to provide scores.

He's joined on the shortlist by France wing Louis Bielle-Biarrey, Scotland wing Kyle Steyn and Italy centre Tommaso Menoncello.

Bielle-Biarrey is contending to be named player of the tournament for the second year in a row, and scored a record nine tries in five games in 2026, including four in his side's final win against England last week.

Steyn was instrumental for Scotland's championship, with the Glasgow Warriors wing scoring three tries and finishing the championship with with 26 defenders beaten, more than any other player.

Menoncello, who previously won the award in 2024, scored in his side's famous wins against Scotland and England, and was named man of the match in the latter of those games.

The winner will be decided via public vote, with the poll set to close on 26 March.

Earlier this week, McCloskey was one of four Irish players named to the team of the championship, as voted by supporters.

As well as the Ulsterman, Irish forwards Tadhg Beirne, Jack Conan and Doris were also picked on the tournament XV.

Rhys Carre is the only Welshman included, joined in the front row by Italian pair Giacomo Nicotera and Simone Ferrari.

Beirne is named at second row alongside Mickael Guillard of France, while Scotland's Rory Darge joins Doris and Conan in the back row.

France captain Antoine Dupont was picked at scrum-half, with Scotland's Finn Russell at 10.

Menoncello was named alongside McCloskey in the centre, with Steyn and Bielle-Biarrey on the wings, and Thomas Ramos of France at full-back.
